Dare Devils Black vs. Montgomery Cheetahs/Nova Cool Cats/Happy Valley - Sunday, 10/12/25 at 9:45am
Yesterday, the Dare Devils Red team narrowly bested the combined Montgomery Cheetahs, Nova Cool Cats and Happy Valley conglomerate. Today, it was the Dare Devils Black squads turn to play the Cool Cheetah Cats. But unfortunately, the visiting team prevailed in this mornings contest. The game was close, thanks to the otherworldly goaltending from Matty Brighton, but the Dare Devils couldn't get enough goals past the talented netminder on the other end of the ice. Patrick Hung, Alfonso Mosca and James Cooney all scored goals and Connor Hung, Aaron Quintana, Shea Passikoff and PJ Visicaro all recorded assists.
Dare Devils White vs. Flower City - Sunday, 10/12/25 at 9:45am (contributions by Coach Doug Katz)
While the Dare Devils Black team was skating on Rink 2, the Dare Devils White squad took on Flower City, representing the city of Rochester, on Rink 1 at 9:45 this morning. The teams battled throughout this high scoring affair with both teams exchanging the lead on multiple occasions. Neither team could pull ahead and the game ultimately ended in tie. Sean Glassett opened the scoring for the Dare Devils at the 33 minute mark by hustling for a loose puck and beating the goalie as he left his crease to try to stop the play. Tony He continued to show marked improvement and he was rewarded for his efforts by scoring the Dare Devils second goal of the game when he put home a rebound with 29 minutes remaining. The offensive star of the game was newcomer Jordan Rosen, who recorded a hat trick, including scoring the game tying goal with seconds remaining in the contest. Solid defensive efforts were put in by Ryan Scorsune, Ryan Tomkiewicz, Andrew Katz and Julian Po. The Dare Devils recording goals were Jordan Rosen (3 goals), Sean Glassett (2 goals), Kevin Plunkett (1 goal), Joel Gooblar (1 goal), Tony He (1 goal) and Daniel Weissman (1 goal).
Dare Devils White vs. Philadelphia Freeze - Sunday, 10/12/25 at 10:30am
Immediately after completing their hard fought tie against Flower City, the Dare Devils Whites had to hustle over to rink 2 for their 10:30am matchup against the Philadelphia Freeze. Although Coach Myles has been emphasizing conditioning drills in practice, playing back-to-back contests on the 2nd day of Frankefest is not conducive to winning. Unfortunately for the Dare Devils Whites, they did not have enough gas in the tank to keep up with our friends from Philadelphia. This was a low scoring game, thanks to the heroics of superstar Matty Brighton in net. Sean Glassett scored the only goal of the game for the Dare Devils as they ultimately fell to the Freeze.
Dare Devils Black vs. Gargoyles/Ice Dogs/Emperors - Sunday, 10/12/25 at 11:30am
The Dare Devils Black team played their second game of the day against the mixed Gargoyles/Ice Dogs/Emperors team. This was a hard fought battle and the Dare Devils prevailed behind the balanced scoring, defensive structure and outstanding goaltending from Matty Brighton. In addition to contributing a goal, Connor Hung also showed great sportsmanship by ensuring that our friends on the opposing team had opportunities to touch the puck and record shots on net. Great job, Connor!

Sunday - 10/13 - Dare Devils Mixed Squad vs. Coaches/Venom Hockey 2pm:
Similar to previous Frankenfests, the tournament concluded with a group of A, B & C Dare Devils players facing off against a collection of coaches and Venom Hockey Beer League players. This year the Coaches/Venom also had the help of some of the talented players from Woodbridge and Central Park. We'll give the benefit of the doubt to the Venom team as most of them helped coach and referee this weekend so they were for sure tired, but the adults were no match for the talented Dare Devils squad. Led by Captain Ryan Griffin, the Dare Devils jumped out to an early lead and never took their collective feet off the gas. Just like last year, the highlight of the game was the battle of the Hung Dynasty: children Patrick and Connor both bested their father, Terence (skating out this year), and buried beautiful goals to help seal the victory. The Woodbridge and Central Park players carried the Venom, with some help from Coach Eric and Coach Myles, but the game was decided early. The Dare Devils breaking through were Vinny Racamato (3 goals), Jimmy McTernan (3 goals), Captain Ryan Griffin (2 goals), Patrick Hung (1 goal, 1 assist), Sean Glassett (1 goal, 1 assist), Danny Giger (1 goal, 1 assist), Liam Smith (1 goal), Kory Wadleigh (1 goal), James Cooney (1 goal), Patrick Law (1 goal) and Connor Hung (1 goal).
