Dare Devils Red vs. Flyers Youth - Saturday, 10/11/25 at 9am
The 2025 Frankenfest Tournament kicked off at 9am on Saturday with the NJ Dare Devils Red squad taking on the vaunted Philadelphia Flyers Youth program. The game started as a defensive battle as both teams were feeling each other out for the first several shifts. The game remained tied at zero until Patrick Law converted a Nick Ritter pass for the opening goal of the tournament. The teams traded goals as the contest continued but the Dare Devils ultimately prevailed behind the stellar goaltending of superstar Matty Brighton. The highlights of the game were the tic-tac passing from Will Trampota and Reese Citro to feed Jimmy McTernan for the Dare Devils 3rd goal and Nick Ritter burying a shot into the top shelf off an assist from Captain Ryan Griffin. In addition, Kory Wadleigh showed great sportsmanship by helping up a Flyers player after an accidental collision. The Dare Devils making the score sheet were: Jimmy McTernan (3 goals), Reese Citro (1 goal, 1 assist), Nick Ritter (1 goal, 1 assist), Will Trampota (1 goal, 1 assist), Patrick Law (1 goal, 1 assist), Kory Wadleigh (1 goal, 1 assist), Captain Ryan Griffin (2 assists), Patrick Hung (1 goal), Vinny Racamato (1 goal).
Dare Devils White vs. York Polar Bears - Saturday, 10/11/25 at 10:45am
The Dare Devils White team played their first game of the tournament against the talented York Polar Bears. This game was a back and forth affair that wasn't decided until the final seconds when Shea Passikoff won a puck battle in front of the York net and put home a rebound to carry the Dare Devils to a 7-6 victory. Superstar goalie Matty Brighton once again stood on his head while Daniel Weissman and Jordan Rosen both put in solid performances in their Dare Devils debuts. Weissman netted two goals and Rosen scored one, to the delight of their teammates, the rink announcer (Captain Ryan Griffin) and the fans in the stands. The Dare Devils in the box score were: Shea Passikoff (4 goals), Daniel Weissman (2 goals), Ryan Scorsune (2 assists and solid defense), Jordan Rosen (1 goal), Bahad Worley (1 assist). In addition to the players making the score sheet, Connor Hung, Henry Barrios, Kevin Plunkett and Tony He all played strong games.
Dare Devils Red vs. Montgomery Cheetahs/Nova Cool Cats/Happy Valley - Saturday, 10/11/25 at 3:45pm
The Dare Devils Red squad played their second game of the day against a superstar team comprised of players from the Montgomery Cheetahs, the Nova Cool Cats and Happy Valley. This was a very evenly matched contest and the Dare Devils prevailed in a nail biter thanks to stellar goaltending from Matty Brighton and guest netminder, Savannah, from the Binghamton Red Hawks. Coach Jordan manned the bench in this game and constructed the lines in a manner that allowed the Dare Devils to rely on team work and structured defense. The game was close throughout but the Dare Devils pulled ahead in the closing minutes to seal the victory. Team work was prevalent throughout the game with beautiful goals scored after passing plays from Jimmy McTernan, Will Trampota, Nick Ritter, Captain Ryan Griffin, Aaron Quintana, Danny Giger and Vincent Racamato. The Dare Devils making the scoresheet were: Jimmy McTernan (2 goals, 1 assist), Patrick Law (2 goals, 1 assist), Vincent Racamato (1 goal, 2 assists), Will Trampota (1 goal, 2 assists), Captain Ryan Griffin (1 goal, 2 assists), Patrick Hung (1 goal, 1 assist), Will Milazzo (2 assists), Danny Giger (1 assist), Aaron Quintana (1 goal), Andrew DePiero (1 goal), and Nick Ritter (1 assist).
Dare Devils Black vs. Mercer/Woodbridge/Central Park - Saturday, 10/11/25 at 4:30pm
The Dare Devils Black team had to wait almost a full day to begin their play in the 2025 Frankenfest tournament. Despite chomping at the bit after waiting all day to play, the Dare Devils Black ran into a juggernaut on Saturday afternoon. The Dare Devils were paced by Liam Smith, who played a strong game, and attempted to will Dare Devils back into the contest, including burying a goal in the closing seconds, but the Dare Devils ultimately ended up on the wrong side of the ledger. Despite the tough loss, the Dare Devils acquitted themselves well with Alfonso Mosca and Owen Silverstein each scoring 1 goal and 1 assist; and Patrick Hung, Shea Passikoff, Owen Silverstein, and Liam Smith each netting 1 goal. Bahad Worley also continued his progression and had a great day. He was hungry on pucks and made several strong plays to keep the Dare Devils in the contest.
